Back in 2014, Lee Hammerton swapped his job in IT for a life of beer. After falling in love with IPAs, he founded Hammerton Brewery and soon discovered brewing ran in the family. The original Hammerton Brewery had been around in the 1950s and Lee was a distant relative of its founder.

Alongside him was Karina, his Peruvian girlfriend now wife, with a background in finance and fast moving consumer goods. Together they brewed their first beer, N7 IPA, and poured their passion into building a brewery that combined heritage with bold new flavour.

That first N7 brew kicked off something special. Since 2014, we have produced over seven million pints and counting. Our core range now includes seven bold, reliable favourites with something for every palate. But we never stop there. We are always experimenting, releasing small batch specials and monthly limited editions that push the boundaries of flavour and style.

What started in Islington now reaches far beyond. Hammerton beers are enjoyed across the UK, Europe and even all the way in Hong Kong. Our commitment to quality and creativity has earned us a loyal following and some top industry recognition. Beers like Zed, City of Cake, N1 and Crunch have all picked up awards and become cult favourites in their own right.

We may be a tight knit team but every pint that leaves our brewery has a whole lot of heart in it. We are beer lovers first and foremost and we take pride in using the highest quality ingredients in every recipe. It is this passion and care that we believe make our beers something worth sharing.
